Shape the Future (STF) devises simple, innovative, community-friendly tools to inspire, inform, and engage individuals, businesses and diverse communities to shape a better future for ourselves, our children, and our grandchildren. It’s a future with vitality, with growth, and with community spirit.
The STF initiative is made possible with financial assistance from the Ontario Trillium Foundation.

Goals of STF
- To enhance environmental health and community sustainability of Peel with result-based, integrative grassroots actions for sustained and quantifiable reduction in our greenhouse gas emissions to combat climate change.
- To establish tools, opportunities, and infrastructure to mobilize and energize active participation of young people from diverse social, economic, and ethno-racial backgrounds in environmental action and community stewardship.
- To provide a supportive and dynamic environment to help young minds (12-24) open up their horizon to develop innovative solutions to address community specific sustainability issue.
